COVID-19

Effective July 12, 2016

ALL test eligible cattle and bison from Big Horn County Wyoming must be tested for Brucellosis within 30 days prior to being moved into South Dakota including:

  1. All Cattle and Bison of any age intended for Breeding
  2. All intact male and female cattle and bison 12 months of age and older

Dairy Cattle

Dairy Calves: (2 Months and Under)

  1. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection and Permit Number.
  2. Individual official ID (metal ear tag or RFID #'s) is required on all animals:
    1. Sexually Intact Animals: Official ID must be listed on CVI.
    2. Steers and Spayed Heifers: Official ID is not required to be listed on CVI.

Dairy Calves 2-6 Months Old

  1. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection and permit number.
  2. Individual official ID (metal ear tag or RFID #'s) is required on all animals.
    1. Sexually Intact Animals: Official ID must be listed on CVI.
    2. Steers and Spayed Heifers: Official ID is not required to be listed on CVI.

Dairy Cattle 6 Months and Older for Feeding Purposes Only

  1. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection and permit number.
  2. Individual official ID (metal ear tag or RFID #'s) is required on all animals.
    1. Sexually Intact Animals: Official ID must be listed on CVI.
    2. Steers and Spayed Heifers: Official ID is not required to be listed on CVI.

Dairy Bulls and Females 6 Months and Older for Breeding

  1. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection and permit number.
  2. Individual official ID (metal ear tag or RFID #'s) listed on the CVI.
