Brian Nagel, Chair - Avon, SD

Bryan Nagel | Board Chair and Livestock Feeder | Bryan was appointed to the Animal Industry Board on July 1, 1994. Bryan operates a feed yard with his wife Angela in Avon, SD (in southeast SD). He is a SDSU alumni and past president of the South Dakota Cattlemen's Association. He has been BQA certified since its inception here in SD.

Lynn Boadwine, Vice Chair - Baltic, SD

Lynn Boadwine | Board Vice-Chair and Diary Producer | Lynn was appointed to the Animal Industry Board on July 1, 1997. Lynn operates Boadwine Farms, Inc., in Baltic SD. Lynn is a graduate of SDSU and has been active in many industry organizations during his career including 17 years as a director for Land O Lakes Inc.

Josh Kitzan - Nisland, SD

Josh Kitzan | Sheepman | Josh was appointed to the Animal Industry Board on October 23,2018.

Kevin Larson - Aberdeen, SD

Kevin Larson | Owner-operator Auction | Kevin was appointed to the Animal Industry Board on January 16,2024.

Jeffery Gatzke - Hitchcock, SD

Jeffery Gatzke | Cattleman | Jeffery was appointed to the Animal Industry Board on January 7, 2022.

Steve Rommereim - Alcester, SD

Steven Rommereim | Hog Producer | Steven was appointed to the Animal Industry Board on February 11, 2013. Steve operates a diversified farm near Alcester, SD which includes corn, soybeans, alfalfa; a wean to finish swine operation and a cow/calf enterprise. Steve has served in a number of leadership roles in state agricultural organizations, including a recent term as president of the South Dakota Pork Producers Council, National Pork Board and US Animal Health Association. Steve received his BS in Animal Science from SDSU.

Dr. John Voegeli - Piedmont, SD

Dr John Voegeli | Veterinarian | Dr Voegeli was appointed to the Animal Industry Board on November 18, 2015. He is a Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine alumni. He is a past president of the South Dakota Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners and has served on South Dakota State University's Animal Disease Research and Diagnostic Laboratory Advisory Board and the SDVMA board of directors.
